Divisions. The UCLA Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences is the home within the David Geffen School of Medicine for faculty who are interested in the origins of and treatments for disorders of complex human behavior. The Department is organised into 4 core divisions:
Faculty in the Department are integrally involved in all aspects of training and education, teaching undergraduate and medical students, interns, residents, and fellows in their postgraduate medical education years. Training programs also accommodate graduate students, post-doctoral fellows and professional continuing education for those in practice and community outreach education to the general public. The Department is also an integral part of The Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at UCLA which is a world leading, interdisciplinary research and education institute devoted to the understanding of complex human behaviour and the causes and consequences of neuropsychiatric disorders.
